Is That Scientific?

Buried near the end of an article on a book which a disaffected Scientologist has written, I came across the following:

“Those who decide a religious order isn’t for them are free to move on with their lives, as Ms. Hill did. Every religion has its detractors; there is no faith that can satisfy everyone’s spiritual needs,” she said.

No faith … can satisfy everyone. How sad.

  1. She gets one words wrong – “needs.”

“There is no faith that can satisfy everyone’s spiritual desires” would be accurate. It is, however, an indication of misdirected desires in most of us (if not all).

    1. True. I was keying off that particular word. Perhaps she was using it in the place of wants/desires (as is altogether too common usage these days).
