College Degrees Worth Far Less Than List Prices
I realize that this is probably obvious to many of you, but a college education may be little more than an expensive waste of your time:
More than half of America’s recent college graduates are either unemployed or working in a job that doesn’t require a bachelor’s degree, the Associated Press reported this weekend. The story would seem to be more evidence that, regardless of your education, the wake of the Great Recession has been a terrible time to be young and hunting for work.
More than half. Too bad that the colleges/universities which conferred the degrees didn’t do so with money back guarantees.
If you or someone you care about is considering college, make certain that you/they count the costs and determine that it will truly be worth it.
Amen.
