Making cuts in salaries complicated. (Capital Journal) When the political becomes personal, it is so very hard for most folks to hang on to the principle.

FEMA finally goes home. (KOTA) One wonders how much of the money which was spent here was entirely wasted, and how much was truly beneficial.

Johnson and Thune both in better positions to take money from taxpayers than before. (Argus Leader) Or, they could use their positions to keep the taxpayers from being fleeced. Unfortunately, history is in favor of the fleecing.

Selling public land?  Excellent idea. (Rapid City Journal) Using proceeds for economic development? Poor idea. Let’s build a fund to to help with the spring flooding damage to roads and bridges, or otherwise address the state’s primary responsibilities.
