Inequity in Dismissals

Inequity is something which most of us are against, particularly when we are on the short side of the equation. Systemic inequities are much harder to address than individual ones.

Why do I speak of inequities? Well, in the private non-union sector, where I admit to spending my time, a dismissal is managed within the space of a few minutes to a few days–usually not lasting more than a couple of weeks or so at the outside.

Inequitable treatment such as this is one more reason that average citizens are not buying the “woe is me” story from unionized public school personnel.
