I’m thankful for the three deer in the freezer–and the four more which will be joining them over the next couple of days as I’m able to finish processing. I’m thankful for a place in the country where I can engage in extended percussive symphonies without bothering the neighbors. I’m thankful that the propane tank is more than half full–and that my bank account remains above empty. I’m thankful for a hardworking wife and four children who benefit daily from her labor.
And those are just a few of the immediate, material blessings for which I am thankful. The immaterial and spiritual would make a list so long that I’d be all done with Thanksgiving The Celebration before I was done with Thanksgiving The Reality.
May all of you have a most excellent and blessed Thanksgiving season.
