  1. Thune calls for interns too. This isn’t an an anti-Democrat or anti-Republican issue. It’s just how government works. It’s a good chance for young people to work in government and serve their country… and it’s arguably a money-saver, as we get interns to do work instead of hiring more government FTEs.

      I’m quite aware of the regular calls for interns from all sides. Doubt it saves any money (unless interns who work for the government are naturally more efficient).
