Tax Revenue Down

From the New York Times:

In the first quarter of this year, total tax revenue declined in 45 of 47 early-reporting states. Only Iowa and South Dakota reported a revenue increase compared with the same quarter of 2008.

Year over year, the corporate income tax showed the sharpest decline in revenues, falling 16.2 percent. Personal income tax revenues dipped by 15.8 percent, and sales taxes by 7.6 percent.

No great surprise there. The article also includes a simple graph.
