Came close enough to Monroe last night to trigger the siren. We had just gone to sleep and were insanely groggy when we first heard it. Unfortunately, it was late enough/dark enough (10:45ish) that we couldn’t see anything except during brief flashes of lighting.
We relied heavily on the radio reports from KELO because we simply couldn’t tell what was going on. Fortunately, while we were pounded with heavy rains, the hail and tornado slid noisily past us to the south.
Children? They slept through all the excitement–only to have the littlest one come wide awake at 4 am. Must have suffered from a delayed weather reaction.
