News Drunks
Every once in a while, I run across something which triggers the “wish I’d written that” mental subroutine. This paragraph from Jay Reding is one of those somethings:
Disseminate via | Facebook | Twitter | Digg | StumbleUponSadly, there just doesn’t seem to be an appetite for hard news on TV these days—if you want to be informed about the world, you use the Internet and get the facts for yourself. Right now, TV news is used in the same way a drunk uses a lamppost—for support rather than illumination.
