Celebrating Our First Anniversary with a Gift
As I noted on Friday, the Constant Conservative has been contributing to the discussion for one year now. In honor of this event, we will give one of our readers a $25 gift code from a well-known online retailer of books, electronics, and just about everything else. How better to show our appreciation? (Sure, I could think of several, but that’s not the point.)
Here are the rules:
- You must leave a comment on this post by midnight CST today (Monday, September 14, 2009).
- Your comment may be brief, but it should address the site and its benefit (or lack thereof) to you.
- You may use a pseudonym.
- You must include a valid email address (not in the body of the comment, but in the meta data). You will be contacted at this address to confirm that you are a real person. After that, the gift code will be mailed to you at that address.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person.
- Any entry which is deemed invalid (for whatever reason) may be disqualified by Constant Conservative
The winning entry will be selected randomly by assigning consecutive numbers to each comment and then using a random number generator to pick one from the range.
Thank you for reading.

Congratulations on 1-year, Michael. CC introduced me to the world of internet blogs, and as a result of your links, I have also been exposed to other blogs that I enjoy, such as “Fastidious” and “Of Arms and the Law”.
Your ability to find and select and link to interesting articles is very useful to me, and your comments are always appreciated. There are a lot of “conservative” media outlets, but it is nice to have one that has a biblical worldview.
Also, I would like to offer a welcome to Andrew. Your articles have been interesting also.

OK–so the first time I arrived at the CC site was simply to see the GONE meter ticking. I still come here to check it every now and again–can our country survive another 1224 days??
I found that I liked what I read and now I stop by very often. It is nice to know that there are thinking like -minded people out in cyberspace (and in the real world).
I have a mailing list that keeps a fairly large group of people informed about current events. I often research what is presented here and adapt it for my list.
I am glad that you are around! Thanks for the the time and committment to be informative!

Thanks, Mom. We are glad you read (and keep others informed). It’s easier than ever to spread the word these days and we need to keep doing it.

Thanks, Doug. Someone once said that the way to get good at something is to keep doing it. Who knows? It may just work.

Congratulations on the year! I haven’t visited this site because I thought I was blocked by the forces of web-filter…Anyway thanks to Fastidious (whatever) I tried it and it worked. I will be visiting more regularly, thanks to his advertisment!

Thank you for all the information you post. It’s an eye opener for the rest of us that are not so familiar with how exactly politics affects our everyday life. It’s a great source of information as well as the perfect place to voice our patriotic/conservative concerns.

Thanks for the time you’ve put toward bringing these stories and commentaries together. It’s been great being able to stop in and read over the past year. I often find myself often thinking, “I would agree with that – now why couldn’t I explain it that well!” Keep up the good work.

Odie, thanks for dropping by. We all have talents. Some of us just plow ahead regardless.

Michael –
Thank you for your thoughtful commentary and insight into conservative issues. As a blog author myself, I appreciate you taking the time to contribute your thoughts.
There are only a few blogs I make a certain daily stop to. Yours is one of them. Great Job.

Congrats on the anniversary! Your blog is a breath of fresh air in the world of mainly liberal news. You do a marvelous job of getting down to the real issues, and leaving all the insignificant humbug to the mainstream media. Keep up the good work!

Canongirl,
Thanks. We’ll continue to do our best to steer clear of the insignificant humbug.

Wait, free stuff? Where? How again? Do I have to post here?
Well, I like reading like- minded folks. I would quote C.S. Lewis, but I don’t have the time, it seems.
Ah, it didn’t post before 12:00, but that’s ok. I don’t need any prize from Constant Conservative to know that the real value of the site is in the words, ideas, and attitudes toward that which ought be objectively valued. I hope the flame started in the first year burns brightly enough to illuminate issues well into the future.
Congratulations, Michael and Andrew,

Thanks for dropping by anyway. DW had already mentioned that she wasn’t interested since it wasn’t Killian’s, so I kinda thought you were of like mind.
Andrew and I are glad to hear that what we do is of value to others–that’s why we call it the marketplace.

Happy Anniversary! Your blog often mentions things of interest, value and even occasionally beauty that I can share with others. I appreciated the recent piece on the tea party rally in DC. Motley Fool had an interesting blog on the same topic. http://caps.fool.com/Blogs/ViewPost.aspx?bpid=258720&t=01009917921919779399

Thanks, Noelle. Glad we’ve got interest, value and beauty covered. After all, what else does one need?
